Bon bin voila.

Seb. "Eternelle tête en l'air"

PS: Mais bon, y'a pas que moi (Mwarf'!)

If you're looking for me on Wednesday, I'll be at the movies, watching the new film from Antoine de Maximy : "J'irai dormir à Hollywood"...

I'd love to have done it with him... And I'm really looking forward to seeing it... More info on the dedicated DailyMotion account and a nice review in French on DVD Drama.

2 Days ago, I went to Cocoon's gig. And although I didn't know much of them, it was a very pleasant surprise. Nice music, nice people, lot of interaction with the public. And for the tour, they even hired 2 new musicians (Bass and Drums) which gives it even more credibiility and depth...

They offered us 2 covers: "Hey ya" (orignal is sung by Outkast) and "Through the Moonsoon" (Original is sung by... Tokyo Hotel!!!!) I'd never believed, still 3 days ago that I would one day listen and actually like a song from Toky Hotel ;-)

Here's "Hey ya" that I, again, found on YouTube.

If they happen to play close to your place, it's worth the visit ;-)

I just found out that one of my favourite song from The National had a political meaning. They wrote it just after John Kerry lost the elections in 2004.
I thought it was all about a young quarterback who had a brilliant future ahead of him... Turns out I didn't understand the subtlety of the song. (Gosh': I said already many times ; I am NOT subtle!).
Well, anyway. This song has resurfaced on YouTube (Where else?...) in a kind of mash-up of Obama's interventions throughout the campaign. Here it is:

If you don't know The National yet, I can only strongly recommend you to listen to their albums. They're both superb, whether it's Boxer or Alligator. Well written: wonderful music and lyrics. They have everything! This is the kind of music that conveys real emotion when you're listening to it: you don't just listen, you feel... Not a week goes by without listening to one of them at least once (or both). This is the biggest crush I've had on a band lately since Arcade Fire...

Arrived in Finland! It's not as cold as I feared so that point is Ok. I already spotted a Mc Do between the hotel and the Hall where the Event takes place so that point is Ok as well..

Right now, the rehearsals for the contestants are starting. I'm going to have to listen to these guys all day long since our stand is located very close to the Main Stage (Arghhh....)

I'll try to make some pictures (or even better a video) with the webcam and post this later today.

Nice thing about working close to the city center is that I can now spend my money even more on CD during luch time... Today, I just boughth the new Travis album: "Ode to J. Smith". Actually, I'm listening to it right now.
And even if I'm not completelyt done yet, after the few songs I've already listened to, my first impressions are:
- Waow..
- Great!
- It rocks
Ok, I'll admit: it needs a bit more information and explanation but I'll come back to this later. This album sounds definitely great. They seem to be back to their "rock-ier" roots. Their sound is unique, very deep and it is less pop-py than the previous one.
Travis seem to be the kind of Band that can issue several albums that from one to the other will have a completely different sound footprint and yet keep their own identity. What more can  you ask? I'm definitely a fan....

Well well well....

I have to fly to Finland at the end of the month. Not for a private trip but for a business one. Since I left the car industry, I'm now working in the Entertainment-related business.. Kind of... Because of that, I have to attend the Karaoke World Championship 2008!

Don't laugh... I didn't even know there was a championship for Karaoke!! I just hope they will spare me the Celine Dion' songs and all that kind of music I hate. I doubt there will be any National, Arctic Monkeys, Girls in Hawaï songs... But if I can manage to avoid the first ones mentioned, that would already be a great thing.

Anyway. I'll definitely bring some pictures and with a bit of luck, I'll even have an internet access over there to share the "adventure" :-)

Youhou! My sister offered me a phone I really wanted since I saw it in Juno...

I'll use it as soon as I have my internet/phone connection.

Apart from this, nothing to say really: Weather sucks, I might fly to Finland at the end of the month for work, which makes me miss "I'm From Barcelona" and a friend visit (not cool..).

I finally receive all the legal paperwork for my motorbike and am able to ride it (in the rain) and I still didn't receive my money back from my landlord in Belgium...

I think that's it. For now...

Well, I still don't have an internet connection at home and I can't even "borrow" my neighbours WiFi, it's secured. Anyway, I'm leaving to Paris this afternoon. I'll be there for 2 days, have to go there for work... Arghh...

The more I think about it, the more I realise that the only way for me to be really happy is:

1. Win the EuroMillion and spend the rest of my life doing nothing except travelling....

2. Marry a very (very) rich old woman that would give me her fortune and then spend the rest of my life doing nothing except travelling....

3 Get adopted by a very (very) rich couple and then spend the rest of my life doing nothing except travelling....

I have to work on that...

;-)
